The Camp Invention program is a non-profit sicence enrichment experience that develops creative thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through hands-on exploration and FUN for children entering grades 1-6.

ALL NEW curriculum for THE IMAGINE PROGRAM:

Saving Sludge City-Sludge City is polluted, and it's up to you to green up and rebuild the town! Create clean landfills, invent vehicles that won't pollute the air, and build a new Sludge City

Art Park-Design a sculpture garden with your personal touch. Construct animal totem poles, make mobiles that move, and create one-of-a-kind sculptures with a message.

M.A.R.S (Moving At Rocket Speed)-Take a 3-year journey to Mars, and be the first explorers of this umique red planet! Build all your equipment, including a spaceship and a Martian rover!

I Can Invent: Fantasy Inventions & Complicated Machines-Use real tools to take apart old machines and see how they work. Younger children create fantasy inventions while older groups participate in a Rube Goldberg team Challenge.

Recess Remix-Indoor, outdoor, wet, or dry, move your body and your mind! Be the inventor of a new way to play an old game!

1st-6th grades

Astronaut Training

Train like an astronaut; participate in physical activities modeled after real-life physical requirements of humans traveling in space.  Complete experiments just like astronauts and engineers do and have fun learning how to be an astronaut.     Learn how to get to space, prepare mission meals, and overcome the challenges of living in space as well as what it takes to build a place to live in space!  Who knows, maybe NASA will use your idea!

4th-8th grade

Robotics

Level 1: Learn the basics of building and programming Lego Mindstorms NXT robots.

Level 2: If you’ve been through the basics of building and programming you are ready for missions.  Each day your team will receive an assignment and it is up to you and your teammates to accomplish your mission.  Teamwork, problem solving and engineering are skills that will be utilized in reaching daily challenges.
